It’s an Australian summer of self-imposed lockdown. Bring on the 2022 election | Paul Daley

All governments in this pandemic will inevitably be wedged. It's just that some are going through the wedging sooner rather than later.

Both sides doing the wedging are loud and obnoxious, trying to politicise the pandemic. On one side you have you have the anti vaxxer covid is a hoax crowd which the UAP seem desperate to claim. And on the other you have the doomer the world is ending types who just can't seem to let go of this pandemic despite all signs pointing to Omicron being a very minor disease, mostly due to our fantastic uptake of vaccines.

The news that Australian hospitalisation data showing Omicron less severe than Delta is being muted out by all the loud idiots.

Places like WA and QLD will also eventually see the same case numbers we are currently seeing in NSW and VIC and they will see the rhetoric coming out from both sides.
