Rational Answer: For trump to attain peace he has to threaten war. Trump has said many times he will achieve ‘peace through strength’. By people worrying about the real possibility of war, they are more likely to back down. Worked in Korea, worked with Putin threatening the US in Syria before, etc.

Unfortunately; if people start calling your bluff, you may need to follow through just once to show people that you’re serious. Trump has one way or another avoided the quagmire of war quite thoroughly, he’s threatened it constantly and this has helped to avoid it. Given the success of this method already, I will not abandon Trump if he has to do it once. If trump advocates for war at every turn the way Clinton and McCain were, then I will indeed support someone else, but let’s not overlook the facts here and be absolutists.
