Tomorrow is the 17 year anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11th, 2001. Where were you that day?

On my way to work and listening to the radio (used to listen to a news radio channel back then). The news anchor was giving the news in real time and the available information was constantly changing. I recall him saying that the first reports were that a small aircraft was flying at low altitude and had crashed into one of the Twin Towers.

After hearing that, I thought to myself “who the fudge is dumb enough to fly at low altitude in a city full of tall skyscrapers and how the heck did he get a pilot license?” The real facts were still unknown when I arrived at work and my coworkers and I stayed glued to the radio to try and figure out what was going on (the word “accident” was still being heavily used before the second aircraft hit the south tower). Can’t actually remember how much work we got done that day (not much would be my best guess).
