I personally doubt it’ll be Vice City, unless it’s one of multiple cities. It’s too similar to Los Santos (sunbaked, palm trees, beachy vibes). Map wise it’d almost feel like a downgrade replacing mountainous countryside with swampland. Unless they make it super deep and immersive on the next gen consoles, like how GTA 4’s map was a downgrade from San Andreas except it was super realistic and detailed.

People are only assuming it’s Vice City because of the whole “GTA VIce” chronology meme and because it’s the only 3D location that hasn’t been revisited in HD.

I don’t think a modern day VC is all that interesting either, the 80’s glitz and attitude was the sole reason why the original was so memorable. Modern day Vice City isn’t iconic, it’s just a downgraded LS imo.

And a cartel plot just seems super cliche imo. I hope they don’t go in that direction, and I doubt they will. I want a gritty east coast city again. I hope it’s Boston. Rockstar likes to scout out cities with iconic film presence, and Boston is just that.
