PvP Impressions From An Elitest Jerk

Right now, the only thing saving the carebears are their numbers. Multiple zergs run around spamming AoEs with not much skill involved.

A month or two before patch hit, the truly top PvPers were already fleshing out their builds in PTS, getting ready to seperate themselves from the pack. As someone stated before, the so-called "Elitist PvPers" never had trouble breaking a sorc's shields, or countering a NB perma-roller. With my stam-DK, I could even chase down bolt-escaping sorcs. Good PvPers know how to adapt, and those who can't are finally overjoyed with the even playing field given to them at the beginning of this patch. However, this even playing field was brought about by a series of nerfs that affect all PvPers.

My point is, good PvPers always find a way to adapt. The true Elitist PvPers have already found a way to retain their "100-0" style of gameplay. Right now, they are just gathering their set gear and farming prismatic runes, giving other players the false security about these top PvPers finally being brought down to their level. Those who weren't able to adapt pre-patch may soon find themselves in trouble in a few weeks, facing stronger builds while at the same time feeling weaker than before.

Give it another week or two, and you'll soon see that those top players will be doing the same things they've done before the patch. Those who were not able to jump into PTS to figure out their builds may take longer to get up to speed with the so-called "Elitists".

tl;dr - PvP has been reset to a semi-even playing field for a short time. Elitists will adapt and rise again, perhaps widening the gap because metaphorically speaking,
