Hey there, this is (I think) my first post on this sub, and I have a question that I've been mulling around in my head:

So, I've got some ideas for a Superhero sort of worldbuilding/writing project. It's basically like the Justice League (but instead called something else) with different Superheroes (no Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman, etc). I have found some ocs people have on Deviantart, and those concepts would be absolutely awesome. Would using characters that would have similar appearances, powers, and costumes, but different names, personalities, stories than what the original authors/artists use?

So, for example: Let's say somebody has the superhero OC named Starblade, who is a girl who has red hair and a certain costume, and has a hot cop girlfriend. If I were to ONLY use that- the name of the superhero (because unlike Superman/Batman that's not really trademarked), the similar appearance and small story element, would that be bad? And then, if I don't publish anything and just write it for my enjoyment, it really doesn't matter, right?

Sorry if this is a bit complicated.. :P
