r/anime, What is the Worst Canon Romance in Anime History?

ha. No.

Spoilers below, I'm too lazy to spoiler mark each mention. Sorry.

Mine was a terrible, terrible character all throughout the relationship and it was forced af. I really liked the idea of them getting together up until they actually developed their relationship, then I saw how terrible the writer dealt with it and ended up realizing it was a massive detriment to the manga.

Mine was somewhat likable early on but never really got much more than that. Which I was OK with, somewhat more haughty characters like her are better than the meek love interests you usually see. So seeing Tatsumi end up with her was an amazing development because it could have really made a difference for both characters...

Then the writer fucked it all up by making every scene with the two of them after that be the most insufferable shit you ever have to read. Near the end, I loathed any scene between the two (even after what happens).

Quite honestly, it Akame ga Kill would have been better either not doing a relationship at all or picking someone who was a bit more likable like Leone, Sheele, or Chelsea.

Or fuck, Bulat even. I loved that guy. RIP Bro.
