Anime Questions, Recommendations, and Discussion - March 12, 2023

Quick question about the English speaking fandom.

In my country we have a word for those anime fans that grew up in the late 70s and were exposed to 70s and 80s anime, becoming later on "haters" of 90s and 00s anime due to the stylistic differences in narrative.

It's a word used even today because the history seems to be repeating itself and it's quite common finding people who grew up with 90s anime not enjoying 20s anime due to stylistic difference in the narrative.

So that word is being used again to underline how we became what used to pester us decades before.

The question is simple: is there an English version? I would love to know if it does exists, because it's such a quick way to explain a long concept.
