/r/linux could use a facelift

Oi.

Anyway it seems that most of linux people do not understand the power of marketing and then they wonder why year of linux is not happpening.

It's not because of a completely unrelated website's refusal to update it's CSS.

Do you know why Ubuntu succeeded where Linux in general did not (bringing new, less technical users)?

Let me guess what you're going to say next...

Because it had marketing done by people with know how - coherent color scheme with design guidelines was huge part of that.

How did I know you were going to say that!?

No. Ubuntu succeeded because it's goal from the onset was to provide an easy to use operating system. It's color scheme and design guidelines had NOTHING to do with it's overall success.

Obviously /r/linux mods have no fuckin' idea how this shit works, nor most of the open source community.

1) You seem angry.

2) Again, you're taking this up with r/linux and the open source community when the vast majority of Reddit is using the default theme.

3) Your fight is not with r/linux or the open source community. It's with Reddit.

4) You obviously have no idea how this shit works. Again, not being "modern" is NOT a bad thing.

5) If the theme is bothering YOU so much, then install Stylish[1],[2] and use your own custom CSS, or find one on [userstyles.org](www.userstyles.org).^([3]) OR help Reddit by buying Reddit Gold and use whatever theme you want applied over all of Reddit with Reddit Themes.
