racism (removed post due to dumpsterfire in comments)

It must feel super gaslighty to be told that bc you have sexual harasser history with a content creator, you’re not allowed to use them as an example in a +15min video about the topic of minimising/policing poc’s reactions&feelings to content that makes them once again feel unsafe in a world where they feel continuously unsafe - minimised once again with weaponised white tears and weak apologies. What is there left to say; balancing gaining more reach with this important subject by adding kya&co to the title & using them as an example and the never-denied-by-you reality of past events is ..difficult. The backlash has been horrendous and hypocritical to say the least - white tears used against a video about white tears. Braidid’s suggestion of outsourcing mentions of kya&co to other poc creators is certainly a way of managing the problematic nature of the sleepover event and the emotional labor & triggering your system will experience due to the backlash when what’s more important ultimately, is the subject of white fragility and how it is used to sideline poc voices once again, and not specifically the system who made up a 1/9 of your video. I would only say; although you did try to research examples; reach out and check if anyone else can think of examples of other white creators so as to develop this subject. Are there academic and social studies; black activists to cite? The topic of “the difficulties a content creator who has been problematic in a past event, faces, when pointing out problematic issues of another creator (particularly the same creator) ” would be another interesting topic. Hoping this does not stop your exploration of poc voices&mental health&disabilities in the face of non-intersectional gatekeeping hierarchical activism; it’s an important topic.
