Ravens fan here with a question

I have NO problem with bandwagon fans. I've put up with so much heartache for so long its just amazing to me so many people are fans. Sometimes I wish I could time travel back to 10 year old u/certainlyheisenberg1 and try to explain what its like now as a Patriot fan.

Here's my story:

Grew up in the 80's in North Attleboro just 3 miles south of the stadium. Was a HUGE fan even when they sucked. Back then their home games weren't televised because they never sold out so I'd listen to the games on the radio like my grandfather listened to the Sox games on the radio decades before.

At halftime of home games they would open the gates to anyone who wanted to enter, no security, not even frisking. So at least once a year my dad would bring me at halftime of a good game and we'd have our pick of seats in the bottom sections. I LOVED the experience but hated the team. I was 12 in the magical 1985 season (magical until they got embarassed by the Bears).

I absolutely hated the teams that won like the 49'ers. At the same time the Celtics were obviously huge and I watched as many of their games as I could but my favorite local teams were 1. Pats, 2. Celts, 3. Sox and 4. Bruins.

So as I said up top, what the Patriots have become is so much more than my wildest childhood dream could have been.

I went to college out of state and when I moved back in 1996 I immediately got on the waiting list for season tickets. It was hard to believe there was a waiting list and I couldn't afford the tix if there wasn't one but had hope I'd have the money when my name was called.

I got the season tickets in 2008. VERY FIRST GAME Brady goes down for season.

The whole ride has been great and I'll enjoy it forever. When they start losing and get a terrible coach and QB I'll be one of those booing, but I'll still be at the games.
