RCMP and privacy commissioner investigate alleged NCIX breach | CBC News

Man what the hell. How are the people who sold, bought and managed the data not in trouble for this?

Jeff should be in prison for a long time. The competing company interested in buying the data should be investigated. Jeff's employer should be investigated. The people who bought the copies of the data should be investigated. All people who were affected and are Canadian should have a notice sent to them by email and/or in the mail along with their credit scores frozen or put on a watchlist for fraudulent activity.

There are things that can still be done, but nobody cares enough to do them and I really hope Canada steps up and at leas t protects its citizens from such a flaming dumpster fire that is NCIX security.

Steven Wu should be ashamed, fined or jailed. He worked in IT, he knew what should be done.

At least do some damage control guys, really think about sending all affected customers info to the credit unions and banks as to keep an eye out for identity theft and cc fraud.
