This is all hypothetical advice and I am not a lawyer.

First of all chances are nothing will happen but technically you did commit statutory rape.

There are two cases where the police would come after you should this incident be discovered:

  1. He or his family decide to press charges.

  2. The state (gov't not necessarily State with capital S) decides to press charges.

In either case it's important you do not talk at all and get a lawyer who specializes in sex crimes immediately. Nothing you can say will or can be used to help you. There is literally zero benefit to you talking.

In the meantime destroy any evidence of your interaction with this person.

Also are you sure the age of consent is not higher? Lots of places are 16 years of age.
