“1) Christian bakery that sold things to gay couple on prior occasions, said "can't make that cake, that would be us endorsing something we don't agree with, it is a decision of conscience and faith and consistency".
2) Leftist restaurant sees someone they don't like, polls mostly gay wait staff they say "kick her out". They were not worried about being seen to endorse something they disagree with, they were inflicting humiliation on her on purpose as payback for being on the side that "hates gays".
So Christian bakery treats gay people with respect and sells them products, but won't make a wedding cake for them, and they get attacked by leftists and a court orders them to bake the cake.
But gay people in a restaurant can kick someone out without selling them ANYTHING and the left roars with approval.
Bake me that cake, dammit! But you in the kitchen, do not cook them anything!
The owner, Stephanie Wilkinson (cousin of Meryl Streep and proud pink-hatter at the women's march) might have made this decision, as she said, out of conscience... but what the left really means in this VERY inconsistent stance (bake me that cake, dammit, but you don't even get a SALAD from me!) is something different.
She said it was her right to act in accordance with her conscience, but clearly she would not say the same to the bakers.
What they REALLY mean, but are afraid to say, is...
"We are right and good, and you are wrong and evil!"
That is the factor that makes their behavior consistent. The Christian bakery IS WRONG to not bake that wedding cake, because the people who ordered it are RIGHT and GOOD, and so not serving them proves you are WRONG and EVIL.
But the gay waiters and cooks are RIGHT AND GOOD to kick out Sarah Sanders, because she and her colleagues and her president are WRONG AND EVIL.
They're not really acting or speaking on behalf of the right to conscience. If they were, they would recognize that right even in people they disagree with. But they don't.
Because they are acting and speaking out of certainty of their own MORAL SUPERIORITY.
And America, who disagrees with them at about a three to one rate or more, is watching, and waking up.”
