I am going to use the term "regressive left," it is not my intention to offend, but I believe "SJW" is derogatory, "liberal" is erroneous, and "progressive" is too broad; "regressive left" seems to be the most appropriate term I have seen used so far. If you are offended that's too bad for you. I don't recall ever posting here before so maybe it is wrong that I am assuming this will probably get me censored or banned in a subreddit like this one, we'll find out:

I contend that this is not a fair characterization, or perhaps is simple naivety, but it seems more like willful dishonesty. In any case of rape or sexual assault an individual that has been accused should, for logical and ethical reasons, be considered innocent until proven otherwise; depending on your brand of anarchism you may agree with that or not, but I consider the presumption of innocence to be a fundamental human right as do all, or at least the vast majority, of small-"L" liberals.

It is often the case, as evidenced by a wide variety of literature and reactions to real world cases, that the regressive left assumes the guilt of the accused in cases of sexual assault or they at least believe the alleged victim without evidence, which amounts to the same thing. In the current situation with the wave of sexual assaults in Europe, that have the appearance of being ideologically motivated, the reaction from the regressive left has been muted. The victims are not being given the usual support by the segment of the left that normally gives them unwavering fanatical support when the case is not related to a certain religious ideology, and in many cases these victims are being called racists, and are even being "victim blamed," as evidenced by the "advice" given to women by the mayor of Cologne. Centrists are not pointing this out because of a racist agenda, or because they think victim blaming is even a real thing, they are pointing this out because it is hypocritical.

The current bemused reaction you are seeing from the center right, and the center left, is related to the hypocrisy of the regressive left. I am sure there are a nutty minority with a racist agenda but most people reacting to this are simply calling out the hypocrisy for what it is.

That being said, this is a unique situation where no individual has yet been charged, and all we have so far is the description given by the victims. So we can say nothing with certainty, but when taken with other evidence it can be asserted convincingly that mainstream Islam is a legitimate threat to liberal democracy, and that is the crux of the issue.

I realize that those of you that post here are not centrists, and that you may even consider yourselves to also be a threat to liberal democracy, but I think you can still admit that it is wrong to paint everyone right of center as being racially motivated or sexist in making observations of hypocrisy. You also should admit that Islam is your enemy as an anarchist, generally speaking, so you are doing your political agenda no favors by joining the Islamic apologists.
