Redditers from outside the US, what do you actually think about our political system?

It's a bit crass however let's look at alternatives, in Europe in the House of Commons, they literally yell at each other while wearing wigs, if you run for office in Russia you'll be poisoned. In China you'll be "disappeared," in Mexico and many South American countries, you need to obtain a drug cartels blessing, in the Middle East there is no political system, it's just based on who your relatives are or how harshly you suppress your citizens as shown in Syria. Lastly I've seen politicians full-on assault others during Municipal hearings in Eastern Europe and in Asia.

Non US citizens, feel free to throw stones but not if you live in glass houses.
