Redditors, what's the most cruel thing you've ever done?

Well, I had a friend since I was maybe 7 or so who became my very best friend very early on. She was a year older than me so when I hit around 15 and she was 16, we began to spread apart a little. It was no big deal really - she was at the high school and I was at the middle school so it was expected. Her boyfriend broke up with her and I comforted her but she totally blew me off and said she didn't need it so I left her alone. Then she freaked out and said I was a psychopath and told my boyfriend something was wrong with me and I was an asshole. I was kinda like ok whatever I don't really care. So I got kinda closer to another friend and she noticed and attacked her - and just my luck, the boy she'd been dumped by had a crush on my new close friend. None of it was her fault but she still attacked her. So I called her out. She said she didn't wanna be my friend anymore. I said I didn't care. An hour later she came crawling back and I said no.

So she found out she was moving away. She had a moving away party and invited all of us and wrote us all letters. I read mine out loud in the car with my new friend. It said she thought she hated me for all the years we were friends and that everyone liked me for my body and that I was stuck up and that she hoped I killed myself. I ripped it up. The only person she didn't give a letter to was my new best friend. Which was weird.

So she befriended a mutual friend of my new friend and me. She showed her the letter she intended to give and promptly told us about it. It said that she thought my new friend was a "fat cow" (she wasn't) and that boys should love her because she was skinnier and all this shit. So my new friend texted her "Y'know, maybe no one likes you because you're such a bitch."

It was awful. We spread word around of everything she said to me and my friend and everyone else. We trashed her everywhere. By the time she left she had no friends. I was an asshole.

It's kind of nice in retrospect though because it caused her to have a revelation and message me a year later apologizing and we're really good friends now.
