Replacing Jogging with skipping rope for cardio.

Disclaimer: I'm a noob

You should probably do it *because* it's mentally taxing on you. Conditioning is mental too, and the monotony of having to push through a long run can sharpen your mind.

That being said, I think as far as boxing endurance goes, jogging can be overrated sometimes since it's viewed as a fix-all approach by many. I think it depends on what you mean by "cardio", since a lot of people use that term interchangeably with muscular endurance (mind you, the two are not independent of one another). I'm relatively new to boxing (2 weeks in), but I used to compete in mid distance running and cross-country. I still "gassed" my first day because the muscle endurance in my shoulders were non-existent compared to people who had been boxing for a while. Now if you're talking about your heart and lungs getting really tired, then absolutely do a fuckton of LISS. If you want to switch it up once in a while but still get that cardio work in, throw in some mid distance interval training or fartlek runs once in a while.
