Well, the amazing news is, the Left is ohMyGawd effective when it is struggling rather than sitting in power.

So, enjoy your lil moment in the sun, if history has taught us anything, the Left is always stronger when it is victimized. Always. Without question.

This should already be obvious to anyone who has paid even a slight amount of attention. When orange man was elected, the Left rose up and organized like it hadn't needed to in decades. They've pretty much stopped most forward movement of the US political right and the fucking right holds both the house and the executive. The Left is only in the beginning phases of organizing the literal millions of people who showed up at marches across the country. Most groups were literally overwhelmed with people looking to join and help. As they catch up, we'll see how things go.

Or as organized ... You made some permanent progress...

This is just silly. The Left has had nothing but progress. The entirety of western civilization has been a steady loss of right-wing ideals. You lost kings, you lost church ruled governments, and on, and on, and on. Throughout history the far right has nothing but a couple of short little spikes of far right nutterdom which was consistently rendered useless by more progress.

Human society is about progress. right-wing is about authoritarianism and worshiping traditionalism rather than accepting change. These things are the antithesis of the human spirit. For every one step forward, the right will continually be pushed back two. This is just human society following the human spirit and moving forward.

Want to see what a society looks like when it resists progress? Look at the most backwards countries in the middle east (or the world), led by authoritarian right-wing religious nutters. Not a pretty picture. Surpassed and left behind by countries who progressed.

The further right the right goes and the more they fight the Left, the stronger the Left is, over and over again.

You're just not as violent as we can be

Keep that mindset. Again, study western history, what is always the biggest downfall of the right? Their creepy obsession with violence. So hold onto that, use it! Bring yourselves down. Makes the Lefts job that much easier.
