Richmond launches vegan sausages

I think we're going to see a lot more of this kind of stuff, but it's not necessary a sign of positive change - be wary.

Recent reports show that companies like Greggs, etc, that have released a vegan flagship product have seen their sales rocket - but not just sales of the vegan product, but of all their products generally. Maybe this is because vegans are now more likely to join/invite non-vegan friends to Greggs for lunch, maybe it's vegetarians coming in to try the new vegan sausage roll and deciding to get a sandwich while they're there. Either way, companies are realising that a good way of boosting the sales of products that they already have on the market is to release a vegan product, and so they are not necessary releasing the vegan product because they want to help the environment, or they want to make it easier to be a vegan, or anything like that.
