I'll look at this as fair as I possibly can. Also, forgive yesterday, I was a little agitated under keeping up with osu! myself; that stuff happens and I send my apologies for it because like Bowlglet said, I get REALLY cocky when that occurs and I have to learn to manage it. Consider this an overview of you as a player, Chippy, even though that sounds retarded considering my previous comment was basically insulting you, but at least TRY to take this genuinely. If you can't, then well, I know our relationship as two people in a general overview has had a lot of bumps so I'll be perfectly fine with this; it's not the end of the world.

Your accuracy is startlingly good, it's the one skill you seem to have a knack for (everybody has at least one, mine is aim). Your aim is also not half-bad, nor is your consistency considering that you tend to farm scores for long periods on occasion without a lot of negative effect to any of your skill, something that baffles me knowing how much you retry some songs, but it's still possible so I'll keep an open mind!

Your biggest weakness (and I am aware I'm calling the kettle black here so to speak considering my previous comment, so I'll try and work on this same thing as well,) is your ego. Before you launch into a million complaints that your ego is not part of the game, it is. Everybody's egos play a huge part in whether good/bad mindsets happen, and sometimes even mental blocks happen because of one's ego in just osu! in general.

The center of all problems, in this case, is that your ego inflates like the speed of a rocket car at terminal velocity and then slowly deflates like an air mattress. If you choose to ignore it, then that's a bad idea but honestly up to you.

But if you open your mind to it, you can, to some extent, reverse engineer your own attitudes and beliefs once you've seen the bad things/habits you have as a player and get better ones altogether for the game. It DOES exist and it CAN happen; I've successfully done it myself once or twice.

Your second, smaller problem is that when your consistency drops from lack of playing over a certain amount of time, you STILL try to do the same stuff as you were doing before, which is something I ultimately can't blame you for knowing your situation, but that doesn't mean it's unsolvable; all you need to do it adapt what you play to the amount of time you were gone. So, for example, if you were gone a week, try bumping down the overall star difficulty of the average map you FC down by 0.4 stars and the average map(s) you'd go for passes on down 0.4-1.0 stars.

I want you to understand greatly that I'm not exactly making this to say "you suck shit at the game," but more along the lines of that you DO suck at different aspects, as do I, and I simply want to help you with them because to be honest I love seeing people self-improve themselves, myself included. It's some sort of positive mental click I'll always have, which comforts me :D

Cheers! Consider this paragraph a sort of "I'm sorry, here's what I should have said at the time" thing.
