RNZ: Roimata Smith went to the doctor for a prescription but instead says she was told she was fat and to get a job

Only if there was a "Healthy poverty cookbook" with something like "What are the cheapest ingredients currently? -> cook something from them while staying healthy". An app would be good as well, counting caloric intake.

Yeah something like this would be great. I just got a handle on eating healthy and got pretty routine about it but now that prices are going up I'm planning meals around what's on special and it's a lot harder. Learning new recipes is such a pain, it makes cooking take so much longer. I can totally empathise with people struggling to lose weight atm.

I've seen similar websites & apps around but they're not NZ based so often the meals end up being really expensive anyway since what's cheap for them is out of season here, something we import, or something our supermarkets felt like hiking the prices up on because "inflation" or whatever.
