Russia Could Resume Trade With Germany If Putin Ends War: German Chancellor

Also, I hope this doesn't mean that Germany (or any other European nation) wants to go back to how things were regarding our fossil fuel dependency. We can't ever go back to that. That should be crystal clear by now. Russia, with or without Putin, can't be trusted. The whole system is rotten beyond repair in Russia. The next president will be a corrupt dictator as well.

It's no news that at some point in the (far or near) future, trade will resume. But we can't, really cannot, ever go back to how things were. Otherwise, we will be dealing with the same shit 5 or from now again.

I hope, I really hope, that our politicians understand this, but I fear they don't.
