Why the Russia denials?

For some reason people are taking right-wing lies as the truth. First the right-wing said Russia did not interfere in the election and I saw people in this sub saying the same thing. Then as more evidence came out the right-wing changed their story and said it's okay for Russia to interfere, and then that was the story around here.

When Republicans illegally suppress the vote and racially gerrymander districts there's complete silence from the left. Despite anti-voting laws and racially gerrymandered districts constantly being ruled illegal you don't hear a thing about it. But when Russia is accused of interfering these people that were silent are suddenly screaming loudly that it's completely okay.

It's been revealed that at least 39 states were compromised (https://www.vox.com/world/2017/6/13/15791744/russia-election-39-states-hack-putin-trump-session) the specifics are not clear, such as exactly what was done. Now it turns out Russia's hacking didn't even matter, your vote would not have counted any way, so who cares which oligarchs decide who is president?

The big problem is how the explanation radically changes every time new evidence emerges. First it didn't happen, then it's okay it happened, now it doesn't matter that it happened. The reason for this is that the conclusion has already been reached; whatever Russia did is the right thing. Every time it turned out Russia did more than we thought the conclusion didn't change, only the explanation for why Russia did the right thing.

Another worrying thing is how people use the excuse that it's okay because domestic powers do the same thing. They are both bad, we should get rid of foreign and domestic interference, not say one is good because the other is happening too.
