Who else fell down the alt right pipeline before being socialist/Leftist?

Grew up in a white conservative middle class family. Rules were rules “because you’re under my roof.” Gave a speech in class once about how marriage is a sacred religious ceremony between a man and a woman. Had no idea what I was talking about, we never went to church

Pledged a southern fraternity in college, found infowars and enjoyed watching “SJW OWNED COMPILATION #6969” with owen shroyer.

~1 year after college, realized trumpist conservativism was exhausting. Too much effort to maintain cognitive dissonance, mental gymnastics. Trumpism wasn’t cool anymore. Still thought “freedom” was sick. Became a “libertarian.”

Saw how embarrassing and divisive Trump was to America. Like driving on roads. Voted for Biden.

Realized I care about people. Became in favor of universal healthcare and free 4-year public college. Reflected upon a year spent living/working in Europe and how superior living conditions were. Public infrastructure, healthcare, education, transportation investment is sick.

Today, I feel very sober when I’m at my parents’ and my dad has Tucker Carlson on TV. I see right through it, it’s the “what are we complaining about today?” show. And it’s hypnotizing, he’s very good at what he does... Surgically, precisely drilling outrage into the brains of his viewers. You almost have to give him credit for it. But it really hurts deeply to see my dad stuck where I once was.
