No clue what that's supposed to look like, though appears something melted what's in the photo... maybe from the clutch slipping and creating friction and heat since not engaging with the drum. Thought there was melted rope at first stuck and welded at first glance... though not thinking inspecting closer.

I've never adjusted or repaired one of those smaller clutches either... though guessing can be. Maybe search around regarding adjusting the clutch or what needs replaced.

Almost looks like the inside diameter of the clutch drum is worn down. Google and Youtube or a search engine are your friends for repairs typically. Search the make and model number or even the make to get ideas.
