I always thought they were just ways of advancing the story in game without us needing to be there. Kind of like how reading a lore book doesn’t always mean that the Guardian actually read about the events taking place in the book.

Some of these transmissions sounded very private and I have a hard time believing that Mara for example, would broadcast her yelling at Ikora for Uldren’s death. She has an image to keep and her Corsairs were literally in the room with us when that played, it would’ve made her look foolish.

Some of those transmissions were definitely meant to be public like Lakshmi’s at the end of Splicer though. I dunno, that’s just how I’ve always looked at it.
