If the touch of malice ornament is disciple themed it would make more sense that the theory would be

“Are we being groomed to be a disciple?”

Or

“Is eris being groomed to be a disciple?”

The touch of malice parts were gathered by us from those we kill in kings fall (and some other tedious stuff) and then crafted by Eris.

It would be kinda wild to be like oh shit you know that weapon the guardians made from your dead body? I made sure they put a disciple flair to it in your honor bro.

I’d also say Oryx could be crystallizing bc without hosting his worm he was subject to the cold of space that’s out there as far as Saturn and quite literally began to freeze. It honestly looks nothing like what happens to rhulk. If I was trying to push this theory I woulda compared it to eramis wayyy before I did rhulk. Rhulk practically has branch like growths explode out of him growing in every direction before going kinda rigor mortis.

Plus byf should be looked at for the nice way he presents the lore and his dedication to that. His theories have never really come close to the direction bungie takes the story and shouldn’t be considered as canon.
