The white woman that got Emmet Till lynched has lived a long happy life with not a bit of remorse. Also, white suburban women were the deciding factor for Trump and thus the overturning of Roe—white women also make up the majority of “parents rights” lunatics trying to make sure every lgbtq kid gets to experience abuse when they leave their house and their little white kids never have to learn about racism.

In reality, the same structure that is identified as the systemic cause of women being oppressed, misogyny, is the structure that invalidates male mental health by saying “men are strong, silent, and rational,” without the need of care and compassion from others.

At some god awful point in time, everybody stopped reading actually reading feminist theory and started consuming feminism as pop culture that leaves in place the structural causes of oppression and insist that feminism is actually just making sure more women get to be a part of that structure.
