SAHM going back to work, have a resume question

Typically, academic libraries ask for references as a separate document to upload. They also usually ask for a CV, not a resume. I have one version of my CV with references on the last page and another without, with the references page saved as a separate PDF. If the application doesn't specify separate documents, I use the first one with the references at the end.

For a resume, my references are always an additional page in the same style as the resume. My academic resume (made as a fresh library school grad) that I submitted to the rare schools that asked for a resume specifically was 2 pages - there's no way references would have fit within the 2 page limit recommended for academics. It's less about what's "correct" and more about how valuable real estate is on a resume. If you have room for contact info for 3 people, what skills, duties, etc. are you leaving out?

They will want your reference contact info one way or another, just follow whatever instructions the application gives you. If it doesn't specify, I'd err on the side of providing more information rather than less.
