Is Sammy Watkins being paid too much?

You presented your own opinions, not facts. What you think is not a fact, it's an opinion. Look up the definitions for each word. I said that Sammy Watkins is paid like a top 5 receiver, that's a fact because it's a true statement. I don't think he's being paid like he's elite, I know it. Go back and really read that last sentence again will you? Just because I said that he's being paid like it, doesn't mean that I think that he is. Grass is green, that's a fact. 12 inches equals a foot, that's a fact. Watkins yearly pay is near the top of the chain in regards to NFL receiver pay, that's a fact. How you twisted me simply stating the fact that Watkins is being paid like a top 5 receiver into me believing that he is/should be is beyond me. Not every little word that comes out of people's mouths has some hidden message in it.

Now your rant about free agency and value this and value that. This is where I'll get into my opinions. I am of the belief that Veach and Reid wanting Watkins here was the biggest catalyst in overpaying him. He was signed just a few minutes into free agency wasn't he? So really you couldn't say anything about "market," and there's never been any indication whatsoever that Watkins would be signed to that kind of contract either. Veach wanted nothing to do with "value" or any "market" so he severely overpaid him. That's just my opinion though.
