Saw someone in another Ed forum say they have restrictive anorexia and eat 2,000+ calories

I may be wrong here - feel free to disagree, and I didn’t see the post but I feel like this depends a lot on context - eating that amount in recovery, or due to treatment, doesn’t mean that person doesn’t have AN. However I’d agree that if that was the amount that a person considered restrictive and was how they lost the weight, I’d think it’s more likely that they may have a metabolic/medical issue than an ED.

And though it’s uncommon and certainly can be triggering, some people can eat quite a normal amount for a while and maintain an emaciated body (though my general sense is that most of the recovery influencers who say this are lying).
