Schools in England told: wear masks in class as fears mount of Omicron surge

The solution at this point is for the gov to stop the fear mongering from the media this time around and actually provide rational data driven advice. A year and a half ago the concerns are absolutely warranted, but this time all the data is pointing to a significantly milder illness for the vast vast majority worldwide. If this was the illness from day 1 you literally wouldn't have heard a thing about it, it'd just be another winter cold going around.

The fear surrounding it driven from the media and the impact of isolation rules on important positions such as healthcare and education is SO much more impactful and damaging than the thing itself at this point. The media is acting as if it's the same thing but way more transmissable and it's simply not true.
