I think a lot of their issues were linked with it. For instance, there was a lot of contention over the name. Schwartz would privately say to Katie that he fervently disliked it but to Sandoval he’d back down. Katie would stand up to Sandoval for Schwartz. Sandoval attacks Katie and Schwartz doesn’t stick by her. Then there was Sandoval saying oh, no, Katie can’t have any involvement in it. She has no experience (which is rich considering what their partner said to Lisa last week) etc. Schwartz didn’t back her either.

Basically, I think that the bar opened up her eyes finally that he will never change and support her like she did for him. He wouldn’t make the changes so they could have the family she always wanted whilst her friends were starting to have kids. Katie was never a priority for Schwartz and the bar was the end of the road.
