I'd understand if it was research about rocket engineering stolen, or other military related thing, but medicine is one field entire world should work together in, sharing all their research and "secrets", while cooperating with each other to boost the progress.

Medica, research being finished even 1 day early can save a lot of lives, as it can be used for bigger breakthroughs in the future faster. People die everyday and will continue to. Time is important in every field, yet I know it's not possible to cooperate everywhere yet as loñ as humanity stays divided, but at least in medicine we should know better.
