I actually don't know how to rank s3 and 4 with numbers. All i know is that i despise s3 ,it's tainted the show to me forever, and like 4 much much more, though also much less than s2. It lies somewhere in between s2 and 4, a bit closer to s2, but not much. One of 3's worst flaws is gone (mean spirited """"""comedy""""" , though there is still too much silly comedy) but the unbalanced screen-time per character and fanservice have worsend a lot, and have really hurt my enjoyment of the season. Besides it didn't put much effort to fix the damage of s3 but ,in deed, built on it . S3 cheapened s4, basically, to say it briefly.
