Seeking a business partner for a firearms company in central Texas. (xpost r/entrepreneur)

Well holy shit...you seem like a really fucking smart person.

Impressive.

Now...don't EVER make the mistake in thinking that someone is going to save you or that you have to have someone else in order to get your business started.

Yes, it can be nice to have someone to partner with, but it can also mean plenty of fights and arguments about how to run the business. That can stall you. You really want to trust all that you have in the hands of a total stranger?

I personally think that you would be MUCH MUCH better off acting like a real CEO and President and hire the talent that you need instead of getting a business partner...if and when you need it, which I doubt you will really need anytime soon. You're not there yet.

Even if you don't have money, I would still take this approach.

You don't have to be an expert at everything, nor can you be. Your skill(s) as business owner is being able to find the right people and the right ways to motivate them. Or, just take what you know and have and make the best of it. This is your ship. Take control and steer it. You clearly know what you are talking about and clearly have the skills to use a computer and articulate. You most likely have everything you need, right now, to start.

Again, you come across as someone who is very VERY smart, but...I think you're kind of being a pussy. Get out there and run your fucking business. You clearly know enough about what needs to get done and the way to do. That's enough right there.

Just take what you have, and start doing something with it. If you have to carve product from trees that you cut down, and then sell them from the trunk of your car, then do it. The process of being is were you are going to get your greatest education from. So the sooner you start the better.

Don't worry about being Mr. Perfect. And don't fall for "analysis = paralysis". Just start doing it the best you can with what you have.

Got it?
