I still don't understand why the party still held a deep grudge against the Japanese. To the point that even games are being targeted.

In ww2, they are not the only country Imperial Japan brutalised. Just ask Korea, and other South East Asia countries. Hell, you could even ask the Americans, the British, and The Dutch about it. They suffered too.

Hell, my grandparents lived during that time and suffered too. They too never forgive and forget.

The above mentioned countries, Did they forgive and forget about the Imperial Japan? No. Did they bitch and whine about it? No. Then, why is she being whiny bitch then?

Then let us look at Europe then. The Jews were the primarily main victims of Nazi Germany. Did the Jews of Europe forgive and forget? No. Did they bitch and whine about the current Germany? No.

I understand that countries should not forgive and forget about the atrocities that are perpetrated in their countries. But what they are doing is too ridiculous. To the point that they affect their policies which then destabilise the whole region. Just look at their feud with Australia. Australia didn't commit any atrocities against them, and still got shitted on by them.

The sins of the parents should never be inherited by their children. I'm pretty sure that the particular country would like that if they were in the other shoes.

Tldr: I don't understand that particular country xenophobic tendencies, and trying to understand why.
