How do you guys feel now that the U.S is out of the world cup?

Honestly, I'm rather glad that we're out. I feel for the coach and the players, they've worked their asses off and I'm glad they made it as far as they did. But I'm also glad to see us get humbled on the world stage.

We have the self-proclaimed "greatest country in the world" and the "World Series," but, as a people, we choose to stay either blissfully unaware or malevolently ill-informed about what's going on in the world around us...including in sport.

Soccer (football) "bores" us to watch as a society, but baseball and basketball are arguably more boring sports to watch (and I say this as a lifelong Yankees baseball fan).

So, yeah, respect for our US players, but I have no problem cheering for the Dutch going forward.
