[Serious] people who live in legal states, but don’t smoke, how has your life changed since the legalization of marijuana?

I'm glad someone brought this up. I have a flatmate who smokes pot every day for 7 years, has done since they were a teenager. They are frustrating. Their short term memory is shocking, their communication is confusing, they continuously get the wrong end of the stick and go off on random tangents. They are clumsy. It's just like, how bad is your life that you'd rather be like this? You forget what you walked into a store for 2 minutes after telling me what you came in here for. "What did we need?". Hanging out with a stoner is like having to care for a kind of retarded adult.

It has gotten to the point I legit ask them before any serious discussion, please don't smoke any weed because it makes things so much harder.
