[Serious] Redditors who were caught in a love triangle, how did the scenario play out?

We met about 3 years ago, she gave off all the signals that she was into me, was basically begging me to ask her out. I wasn't in the right state of mind at the time to ask her out even though I was enamored with her.

Fast forward about a year later, we had another class together, I was in a better place and decided to ask her out. Turned out she had a boyfriend by then, which is not surprising, she's an amazing, beautiful girl. We had a lot of classes together and had the same friend group, etc. so we became good friends and eventually got very close.

Started texting a lot and hanging out, initially with mutual friends but eventually just us two. I started dating a different girl and realized I had feelings for the other girl, so I was kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. It delved into emotional cheating territory, came close to physical and would have went that direction if I was unable to resist the temptation. By this point, a lot of drama and gossip had been going around about us.

Eventually I broke up with my girlfriend, which was one of the hardest things I've ever done, and confessed my feelings to the other girl, which I'm 99.9 percent positive was reciprocated even though she denied it.

We tried remaining friends and things eventually got back to normal, but I got to the point where I couldn't be just friends with her and told her so. I cut contact with her, deleted her number and deleted her off social media. I haven't seen her in nearly a year and haven't talked to her in over 6 months, but I still think about her everyday.

I've gone on several dates since then, but I've never met a girl I've connected with on such a deep level. She's everything I look for in a partner and I know I'll never meet anyone like her.

It seems like all that just drove them closer after he found out and I left the picture. I never intended for any of that to happen, and I just hope she's happy and that her boyfriend appreciates her and treats her right.
