I have a cool lucid dream to sleep paralysis story!

I'm pretty sure I started getting sleep paralysis because of heavy DXM abuse (I never had it before in my life, nor since, except when I was using DXM on an almost daily basis).

Anyway, in one dream, I realized I was dreaming and mentioned it to my mother (in the dream) - she said I was being ridiculous and I absolutely wasn't dreaming.

Well, I went in the bathroom and looked in the mirror and pinched myself - when I pinched myself, the entire scene vibrated and I realized that I was dreaming.

I ran back to my mom and said HA! I AM DREAMING! YOU'RE NOT REAL (note to all lucid dreamers: never say this to dream characters - they HATE this - they go full inception on you).

Anyway, my mom's eyes rolled around in random directions as though the gig was up and she just wanted to freak me out. It was startling, but I laughed it off and she walked away to the bathroom and was rambling on about what an asshole I was when I suddenly wokeup to an arm coming out of my chest and choking me while electrocuting me!

It was absolutely nuts - there was a loud screeching while this arm choked me and I felt like I was being electrocuted, but it faded quickly - I think it was my subconscious' way of saying "fuck you".

Anyway, best advice is stay calm and realize you are dreaming - do not try to look at the black figure - just tell yourself that it's not real and you are having sleep paralysis - eventually, this will fail as adrenaline floods your system and wakes you up.

I swear I saw a black figure crawl out of my window after one of these episodes - scared the shit out of me, but the window was closed and that shit is not real - even if it is, fuck it - I go hard! BRING IT ON :D (then again, I personally enjoy these kind of trippy experiences, so YMMV - p.s. I have tons of awesome stories from being a stupid teenager back in the day - one day I would love to take the time to write them all down).
