I've been smoking weed for years, done acid, coke, molly, other assorted pills, pretty much everything short of the likes of meth/heroin/etc. But my worst experience ever was on mushrooms.
I had done them a handful of times before this incident, but never really tripped. I just got super mushroom high. But this time was different. I got invited to a party at a friend's house, and heard one of my other friends was bringing some shrooms for a few people. I had been holding on to roughly 2 grams for a few months, so on my way out the door, I grabbed them. Along with a pop tart.
We got to the party, chilled for a bit, then decide it was snack time. The friend who had brought some shrooms for the others had apparently brought more than anticipated, so the party quickly turned into a mushroom party. Everyone gobbled theirs down; I ate the ones I brought.
Mushrooms typically take around a half hour to kick in for me. I always start with the nauseous feeling, because it's basically poison. This time, however, 10 minutes after eating them, I felt the sickness. Not the subtle waves of a tummy ache, but the deep wrenching of your body saying, 'fuck all of this.'
I got up off of the couch and went out on the back porch, which had thankfully been shoveled off, as there was a fair amount of snow on the ground. It didn't take long for the action to start. As I leaned over the railing, the mushy log hybrid of shrooms and pop tart crawled it's way out of my face. It fell, breaking apart in the air, and splattered on the snow. It was precisely at that moment that I started tripping fucking balls. The vomit in the snow became the tendrils of the dark lord Cthulhu himself. He reached for me, growing ever closer with each heave of dry sludge that came from me.
When the storm was over, I went inside. I found a bedroom, curled up under a blanket, and closed my eyes. I saw the faces of birds and lizards swirling in front of me in colors that don't exist; the music from downstairs echoed into space, and I was at the center of the earth.
Two hours later I was drinkin beers and enjoying the party. All in all, 6/10. Probably would not recommend.
