These things called E-Bikes. They’re like mopeds but they’re electric and have pedals on them. They rarely go the speed limit since they max out at 30kph yet everyone seems to ride theirs on roads that are 60kph+. Not only that but since they have pedals they’re considered bicycles which means you don’t need a license, plates, or insurance yet I’ve seen these things hit cars, spit on cars (the rider obviously), ride on sidewalks, run stop signs (usually by riding on lawns), they even ride them on walking trails.

All that’s bad enough but there is a very specific type of person they attract. People who’ve had their licenses taken away. And it’s not the normal “yeah I was speeding so I need to use this now” it’s the “I got super drunk and got caught driving home”. People on these things don’t make the best choices and it shows.
