Should Belgium add English as one of its official languages?

My parents are German. I grew up in the Germanspeaking part of Belgium. Lived in Wallonia in the lovely Eastern Ardennes. Now living in Flanders (Vlaams-Brabant), at the Brussels Rand since 22 years, married to a lovely West-Flemish woman. Been there done that. Seen it all. The multicultural Belgian style. And feeling 100% Belgian.

Belgium... Dysfunctionally functional. The fact that this country is so divided is part of the culture. In the end we are all the same though.

- we are worldwide known for saxophones, mayonnaise, fries, waffles, and beer

- we are hard workers rendering us extremely productive - even though we have an "A l'aise" attitude.

- we have an inferiority complex although all we are is humble

- we are very loyal and supportive

And if push comes to shove... We Are One. Look at the flood in 2021...
