Should I continue my course in Poly?

Hey, glad you decided to seek help.

TLDR: find out what you like, don't need to be 10/10, 8/10 enough. Then work out a plan to let other people give you the 2nd chance.

I got into a course I put as 5th choice in JAE. I got really bored of school and turned to competitive gaming. This lead me to miss exams, fail several modules and even got to less than 10% attendance consecutively for 3 semesters. I was expelled out of poly in year 2 semester 1 (repeated 3 semesters).

After wasting more time and doing some part time jobs I begun my NS. It was during BMT that I began to think for myself and the people around me. I learn the word "responsibility" and I gained self awareness.

There was a lot of self reflection during the BMT nights. Above me and my bed is the mosquito net and I had a lot of time to search for the root of my problem. It was hard, but I let my ego go and admitted that I was ignorant. If I am not interested, why not do something to justify why other people should give me a chance?

I begin self learning my JAE first choice course - IT. I even wrote a letter to MP and asked for help. Lady luck was on my side, I was given a chance to have an interview in one of the polys to get a similar course that is IT related. During that interview I even got a technical test, and my hard work of self learning paid off as I impressed the interviewers. I earned my 2nd chance.

From there on it was smooth sailing. I am older than my peers by a miles. But I got a great job that I like and it is an honest respectable job.
