I entirely disagree with the idea of it being a mental illness because even in nature homosexuality is fairly prevalent. It's just genetics, man. Some people are gay/lesbian.

All kinds of mental illness such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, Autism and so on appears 'naturally'. Its even known to be genetic in nature. Certain genes will make you predisposed to these disorders.

Homosexuals are just as human as heterosexuals, like me.

Ofcourse they are human. They haven't committed any sin, IMO. They should be free to live their lives in as well adjusted a manner as they can. But to call them completely normal is strange. They have a deviant sexual identity that bars them from procreation.

Just because the majority of people are right-handed does not mean people like me, who are left-handed, are considered mentally broken. At least my parents never did. Its stupid.

Its stupid because a left handed person can do everything a right handed person can and in some cases, they are actually better. A left arm bowler for a right hand batsman for instance! The idea is not difference but deviance in a way that causes difficulty for normal heterosexual males in particular. If homosexual behavior is accepted as normal, many activities and freedoms enjoyed by hetersexual men today would take on a sexual tinge and thus become uncomfortable. For instance, in the Christian west where homsexuality was deeply frowned upon, male showers in gyms/dorms are 'communal'. Not so in societies where homosexuality is socially accepted and male nudity is frowned upon.

This is just an example, I am sure you can come up with more if you try.
