Should I make the switch?

Diamond here with only (lol) 800ish hours so grain of salt and all that but a big part of what I like about RL is that to play well you have to constantly adapt. Also I get enjoyment out of getting better and if you never change things and experiment...

Completely scientific speculation but I believe changing things up keeps your brain plastic... helps break patterns and gives you another perspective

I've changed my bindings a couple times and each time I've sucked ass way than normal for 2-3 weeks and then it becomes natural. (somewhat related I've used different keyboard layouts--dvorak, colemak mod-dh--after decades of qwerty touch-typing). My advice is to stick with the new layout and not switch back and forth, takes longer to rewire your brain

I've got ARL on square rn, and I'm glad I made the switch from regular air roll but I kinda wish I had regular air roll to try to learn those fancy wave dashes

Pros and cons to everything

I say do it for a week and if you don't see a potential benefit then switch back

if you start to lose your sanity take a break
