Hyjaking because I would like to know if he has been seen by either a dr or psychiatrist? Was there no charges against him? The reason I ask is if he went to court he most likely would have had to adhere to a treatment plan. In that time he could have been seen several times by drs or psychiatrists who would have helped help his mental illness (dilusions, paranoia, addictive personality etc). That means if he compl eted the treatment plan that he was a) sober at the time and remained sober and b) had the correct medication to help whatever the hell was going on with him. This means he MAY actual have had the treatment he needed and is now stable and sober.

If not then I agree with the others, please tell this lady so that she can be fully prepared for what lays ahead.
