I hope this is the right place. I'm putting together a computer for recording music and wanted to get thoughts on this set up. The prices aren't accurate because I picked everything up at a local Fry's as follows:

Seems like a lot of the opinions on the 860k are mixed but can't but help that a lot of reads as either intel fans hating on AMD or people that are expecting some kind of CPU sleeper that plays high-end games for a fraction of the cost.
I have a thermaltake 750w PSU (though I should probably switch that to my gaming machine instead of the Antec I have on there now), an old GTX 275 video card (should be sufficient for a non-gaming machine), and an old WD 640GB 7200rpm drive for storing whatever else I need to.
Outside of recording music, this will see use for watching YouTube, surfing the web, or listening to music. The only gaming that will take place is maybe Minecraft, if my kid shows any interest in it.
